Before applying pressure, you should prepare your body. Take a few deep breaths. Stand up and place your arms over your head. Breathe in and stretch backwards. Exhale as you lean forward while lowering your arms to the floor. This helps to get your blood and oxygen flowing, which may help with the detoxification process.
Drink a large amount of water before you begin these acupressure procedures – the toxins flushed out are finally removed in the form of urine – so you need to have an adequate amount of moisture to allow that to work.
